Don't let odors keep your from enjoying your pool!

Problem
Have you ever wondered why you can smell chlorine when you are swimming? It is a common misconception that you have too much chlorine in the water. However the smell of too much chlorine is a good indicator that you should add more into the swimming pool water. Another symptom of too much chlorine is eye irritation or "red eye".

Solution
  • Low FAC: Adjust pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.4 with HTH® pH Minus or HTH® pH Plus® at least one hour before shocking
  • High Total Chlorine: Shock treat pool water with an HTH® Shock product

Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintain FAC at 1 - 4 ppm
  • Maintain pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6
  • Shock treat pool weekly
