The pH level of your eye is actually 7.3!

Problem
Have you ever tried to open your eyes under water and they immediately began to burn, or you experienced itchy skin? You may have assumed that too much chlorine was the cause when in actuality it was due to imbalanced pH or low free available chlorine. This is why it's important to keep your water balanced to ensure optimal swimmer's comfort.

Solution
  • Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.4 with HTH® pH Minus or HTH® pH Plus® at least one hour before shocking
  • Shock treat your pool with an HTH® Shock product

Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintain FAC in the range of 1 - 4 ppm
  • Shower before entering pool
  • Shock treat pool weekly
  • Maintain pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6 (yellow sanitizers) or 7.2 - 7.8 (orange sanitizers)
