Stains

Problem
Iron, copper, and magnesium are common minerals that cause stains. If you notice stains in your pool, it is important to take immediate action to help ensure that stains do not become permanent. Don't worry, the HTH® brand offers you a simple solution to control the metals in your swimming pool water.

Solution

• For fresh stains, brush the stained area for 5 - 7 days
• Use HTH® Metal Control according to label instructions

Preventative Maintenance

• Maintain pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6 (yellow sanitizers) or 7.2 - 7.8 (orange sanitizers)
• Use HTH® Leaf Skimmer to remove leaves and other debris from pool
• Use HTH® Metal Control
