HTH® Pre-measured Water Soluble Pods™ Calcium Hardness Up, 4 lbs.

Balancing swimming pool water just got easier. Introducing HTH® Pre-measured Water Soluble Pods™ Calcium Hardness Up.

About This Item

Formulated to increase the calcium hardness of indoor or outdoor pool water, these water-balancing pods help protect surfaces from corrosion. The pre-measured pods make dosing quick and easy. You can apply them directly to pool water or the skimmer, and they're compatible with saltwater systems.

TO USE: Always test the water or add chemicals with the pump running.  First, test the water to determine the calcium hardness level.  Also test and adjust alkalinity and pH if needed. Second, determine the number of pods needed to adjust the calcium hardness level to the ideal range. If applying to a skimmer, add one pod at a time and allow it to dissolve completely before adding more. If applying directly to pool water, add the pod to the pool’s deep end. Disperse any undissolved chemical from the bottom of the pool with a pool brush until the chemical is completely dissolved. If multiple pods are added at one time, they should be evenly distributed around the deep end and should not be concentrated in one place.

Keeps Swimmers Comfortable

Keeping your pool balanced is key to ensuring a comfortable swim for all. In addition to maintaining pH levels between 7.2 and 7.8, make sure the water has enough calcium; 200-500 ppm is the ideal range.

2. Determine Number of Pods

Use the label instructions on the back of the pack to determine the necessary number of pods depending on pool volume (gallons) and calcium hardness level from step 1.

3. Apply Directly to Water or Skimmer

With the pump running, add pods one at a time to pool skimmer, or directly to pool water by throwing into the deep end of the pool. Use a pool brush to disperse any undissolved chemicals.
